The Southern Illinois Rod Benders were founded in January 2008 as an alternative to the modern formalized car clubs that we all had become disenchanted with. We founded a group based on friendship, love of cars whether, Hot rod, street rod, or custom, and cruising or just hanging out together. The Rod Benders of Southern Illinois have no officers, dues, scheduled meetings, or events, just a common interest; love of cars. The Rod Benders Car Club's purpose is to cruise together, support and encourage each other on our projects, and enjoy fellowship nothing more. Anyone is welcome to cruise with us, park with us at car shows and share our fellowship but membership to the Rod Benders is by invitation.
